Who is responsible
This privacy policy applies to Quit Interval for Android and iOS, where available. Android package: com.focusproduction.projectinterval. FocusProduction is the developer and the controller for personal data it handles in connection with the app and support. Contact: tendalinoino@gmail.com.
The app does not require a FocusProduction account. Data handled by Android, iOS, your chosen storage providers, Google and Apple services is also governed by those providers’ privacy notices.
Android and iOS coverage
This policy covers the Android and iOS editions of this app, including an iOS edition when it becomes available. Availability and features may differ by platform. References to an optional feature or service apply only when that feature or service is present in the edition you use. The Android details below describe that edition; the iOS section explains the treatment of corresponding iOS features. The same policy address is used for both platforms. If an edition introduces materially different data practices, we will update this page to describe them.
Data used by the app
Android edition: Quit Interval stores your adult confirmation, onboarding and screening outcome, smoking or vaping profile, consumption events, cravings, triggers, waking and sleeping times, previous attempts, personal reasons, goals, reduction plans, progress and reminder preferences on your device. These records can reveal health-related information. They are used locally to provide the journey, calculate intervals and progress, and generate reminders. They are not uploaded to FocusProduction, used as advertising keywords or supplied to advertising services. Local profile identifiers organise the database; they are not a FocusProduction online account.
Permissions and device access
Android edition: Optional notification permission enables journey reminders. Reboot handling restores reminders after restart. The included Google advertising, consent and purchase components use network access. The app does not require microphone, camera, Contacts or location permission to track your journey.
On iOS, access to protected resources is controlled through system prompts, pickers and Settings. Only the permissions needed by an available feature apply. Refusing an optional permission limits that feature. The Android permissions above are not permissions requested on iOS.
iOS features and data use
Where the journey features are offered on iOS, the smoking or vaping profile, screening information, journal, goals and plans described in this policy are processed locally for the same purposes and are not supplied to advertisers. Notification authorisation is used for reminders. The policy does not authorise access to Apple Health or HealthKit; no such integration is covered by this notice.
Advertising and privacy choices
The Android edition uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). The same disclosure applies to an iOS edition where those services are included. Depending on your choices and the advertising mode, Google and participating advertising providers process IP address (including an approximate location inferred from it), device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information such as crashes and performance data. Purposes include serving and measuring ads, preventing fraud and operating the service. This is separate from the local app content described above.
UMP manages applicable consent and privacy choices. Where offered, open the app’s advertising privacy choices to review or change them. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings. Non-personalised or limited ads can still require technical data. Withdrawing consent does not erase records already lawfully processed.
Android identifiers can include the advertising ID and app set ID. On iOS, identifiers can include an app- or developer-scoped identifier and, with the required permission, the advertising identifier (IDFA). Where tracking across other companies’ apps or websites is used, iOS App Tracking Transparency permission is required first. You can refuse or later change this permission under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. ATT authorisation is separate from any applicable advertising consent. Refusing tracking does not necessarily stop non-tracking ads or their technical processing.
See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising information for the provider’s practices. The Android edition has no separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK; advertising components still perform their own measurement and diagnostics.
Purchases
Where optional purchases are offered, Android uses Google Play Billing and iOS uses Apple’s in-app purchase service (StoreKit). The relevant store handles checkout and payment information. The app receives product identifiers, purchase tokens or signed transaction information, and purchase or entitlement status to provide, verify and restore purchased features. FocusProduction does not receive your full payment-card number through these purchase flows.
Google and Apple retain store transaction records under their respective policies. Manage purchases and active subscriptions through the store and account used to buy them. Deleting app data or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription or erase the store’s records. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Retention, backups and deletion
Local app records are retained for their described purpose until you remove them, clear the app’s storage where supported, or delete the app, subject to any specific temporary-file or history limits stated in this policy. FocusProduction cannot remotely retrieve or delete records that remain only on your device.
Android deletion: Use the app’s delete-all-journey-data control to erase the local journey. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling also removes private settings and journal records. Deleting journey data does not itself cancel a Google Play subscription; manage subscriptions in Google Play.
Android backup: The app’s backup rules exclude its stored app records from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Any reports, files or copies you explicitly export are outside those rules and remain under the control of the selected destination.
On iOS, use the app’s deletion controls where available. To remove its local documents and data, choose Delete App rather than Offload App, which preserves them. Exported files and copies in Photos, Files or a sharing destination must be deleted separately. Eligible app data may also be included in iCloud or computer backups, subject to app exclusions and your device settings; Android backup exclusions stated above do not establish an iOS backup exclusion. Manage those copies with Apple’s backup controls. Restoring a backup may restore records. A system backup or an export to iCloud Drive does not mean the app operates its own cloud account or synchronisation service. FocusProduction cannot remotely erase backups held by Apple or another provider.
Deleting app data does not automatically delete advertising, consent or purchase records held by the service provider. Their retention depends on the data type, your settings, security requirements and legal obligations. See Google’s retention policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy. Use the relevant provider’s privacy controls or contact us for help directing a request.
Your choices and privacy rights
We use information needed to provide the features you request and to respond to support requests. Where consent is required for optional access or advertising, the applicable permission or consent control is used. Our legitimate interests include maintaining service security and handling support; legal obligations may require retention of certain correspondence or transaction information. Health-related journal information is entered voluntarily and remains on your device. The app records onboarding consent; you can stop that processing and erase the journal using the controls described above. These health-related records are not used to target advertising.
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal data that FocusProduction holds, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to tendalinoino@gmail.com, naming the app and your request. For local-only records, use the device and app controls described above. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Security and international processing
App content is processed in local app storage or memory as described for the relevant edition. Android or iOS controls access to private app data. Protect your device and review files before exporting them. Email and any provider you choose to share with are separate communication channels.
If you email support or open this website, the relevant mail or hosting provider may process data in countries other than yours under its published privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards. Google services may likewise process data internationally using safeguards described in Google’s privacy policy, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable. Advertising SDK transmissions use TLS encryption. Apple services, where used for purchases, backups or device features, may process data internationally under Apple’s privacy policy and applicable transfer safeguards.
Support, children and policy updates
Quit Interval is intended for adults and asks for adult confirmation during onboarding. It is not designed for use by children.
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you send. We use them to respond and retain correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve the request, handle follow-up or meet applicable legal obligations. Do not send sensitive files unless necessary. To request deletion of support correspondence, email tendalinoino@gmail.com.
